Rules of Monogramming

 

The Gifting Spot can personalize your item(s) in one of four different ways! We can embroider initials in a traditional monogram, initials in a natural monogram, a single name, or a single letter. Here is some information about our monograms:

 

 

A TRADITIONAL order monogram is usually done for a female and is in the order of: the first name initial, followed by the last name initial in the center, followed by the middle name initial. The center letter (last name initial) is larger than the other two. For example: A traditional monogram for Tiffany Elaine Williams would be  TWE

 

A NATURAL order monogram is usually done for a male and is in the “natural” order of: the first name initial, followed by the middle name initial, followed by the last name initial with all of the letters being the same size. For example: A natural monogram for Brian Eric Williams would be  BEW

 

Monograms for a couple are usually done in the traditional style, and in the order of: the woman’s first name initial, followed by the couple’s last name initial in the center, followed by the man’s first name initial. The center letter is larger than the other two. For example: A monogram for Tiffany and Brian Williams would be  TWB

 

These are only guidelines. Feel free to personalize your item in the style and order of your choice. Remember, when ordering initials, enter them in the exact order you want monogrammed on your item. If you choose a "traditional monogram", the center letter will be larger than the other two, and if you choose a "natural" monogram, all of the letters will be the same size. When ordering a single name or a single letter, enter them in the exact way you want on your item and the exact capitalization as well.
